Program Overview: Edison Elementary has a center program for students who are diagnosed with autism and for whom their IEP requires a specialized, center program. The students who are placed in the autism classroom receive small group and individualized academic support in their classroom and are mainstreamed to grade level classrooms when appropriate to gain social and communication skills from their typical peers.

Enrollment in the Program: Edison is not involved with enrollment at the Autism Center. The decision is made by the IEP team at their home/current school and the location is determined by the DPS special education central office location determination team. Please contact your child’s home/boundary school to get more information.
