My name is Paige Jovanovic and I am the Director of Authorizing and Accountability.  I come to DPS with a dedication to authorizing best practices and ensuring quality school options for our families and communities.  Before joining DPS I worked in Aurora Public Schools for over 5 years in the Office of Autonomous Schools designing and implementing their charter authorizing processes, while creating pathways towards school improvement. I currently serve as a Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers (CACSA) board member.

My name is Angelique Sanchez and I am the Senior Manager of Authorizing & Accountability team and a Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers (CACSA) board member. I take great pride in dedicating the past 15 years of my professional journey within education. At DPS, my time has been marked with a diverse range of roles, each reflecting my commitment to our community. I have served as a bilingual Spanish-speaking classroom teacher, and interventionist, a resource for newcomers, an instructional coach, and held positions at both the school based and district administrative levels. Prior to my current role, I contributed my expertise to the Career & College Success department and therefore am familiar with ECE- Higher Education.

My name is Tony Wright. I have spent the past 15 years in special education and worked in rural, suburban, and urban environments and in a variety of settings. Before joining the Authorizing & Accountability Team, I was a special education teacher and administrator at a single site charter school since 2019. I am compliance and logistic oriented and look at education practices through a lens of equity so that all learners can succeed and be the best versions of themselves.

My name is Katie Weimer, and I am a Senior Specialist with Authorizing and Accountability. I have over ten years of experience in education, specifically with early literacy and secondary language arts. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Urban Schools and Critical Pedagogy, and I am passionate about equitable access to education. I am also a J.D. Candidate at DU Law School, which contributes to my unique lens for educational policy and governance work.

I’m Theresa Arhimah, a dedicated Data Analyst in the Authorizing and Accountability department at DPS. With a background including Teaching and Research at Ball State University, I have 5 years of experience in handling complex statistical data. My passion lies in uncovering meaningful patterns within data and driving impactful research. Recently, in my previous role II led a study on opioid-involved overdose mortality in Indiana, pinpointing vulnerable counties and associated factors. Through data analysis, I collaborate closely with my team and school leaders to shape effective strategies, ensuring a positive impact on schools and the district. I am enthusiastic about using my skills to make a real difference in the lives of students.

I'm Karley, currently serving as the Program Specialist within the A&A department. Preceding my current role, I had experience in art education and special education. In my capacity as project manager, my responsibilities encompass the development of scheduling and communication for site visits and the establishment of structural organization within the department. My goal is to cultivate a collaborative and inviting atmosphere for our team, educational institutions, and stakeholders.
