DPS is working with the Greater Park Hill-Stapleton community to understand what families want to see in a new middle school, as we know people have strong opinions about what makes a high-quality school. This step will include independent polling of families in the enrollment zone, followed by public community meetings on the following dates (view flyer for upcoming meetings):
Monday, Oct. 1 at Northfield High School, 5500 Central Park Blvd.
Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Central Park Recreation Center, 9651 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd.
Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Park Hill Elementary, 5050 E. 19th Ave.
All meetings will be held from 5:30-7 p.m.
At these meetings, DPS will release additional information on how community members can apply to be a part of the committee that will review applications and make a recommendation to the interim superintendent. The Denver Board of Education will make the final decision.
